(2,307 posts)I have a bumper sticker on my car which from a distance look like I support the Republican Party, but on closer exam doesn't. I have had more people think it was a Pro bumper sticker instead of a Anti one. But, then again when someone ask starts talking to be about it who misread it is really fun to see the look on their face when you ask them to read it again and realize the mistake they just made. Once I was pumping gas and a lady all dressed up from church started talking to me. "I see your bumper sticker, I am a Republican too, I was wondering who you want to win in the primaries?" I suggested she read it again. The look on her face was priceless when she realized what it really says. I thought she was speaking in tongues for a moments.

(2,091 posts)Yesterday the buyers' property inspector came and I noticed he had a "Romney for President" sticker on his truck. I so wanted to ask him why since the inspector is a hard working person who is paying more in taxes than the man he is supporting. I wanted to ask him how he felt about supporting a candidate who shields his money offshore instead of paying his tax dollars to the USA. Apparently this inspector is either a faux news watcher and hasn't a clue or he thinks it is just dandy that romney only pays 14.9% in taxes while the worker pays in the range of 28%-30%. Don't people realize they are voting against their own self interest? I just don't get it. (BTW, I didn't say anything because I didn't want him to make a bogus list of repairs because we support President Obama. Of course he probably saw in our garage a couple of old stickers that said, "GOP, Grand Oil Party" and "Don't blame me, I voted for Kerry."
