(146,288 posts)It was in a class in high school. The teacher held up a print of it and asked the class what they thought. Being the class smartass, I raised my hand. After being recognized, I simply said, "Of course it's not a pipe. It's a drawing of a pipe." From the teacher's expression, I could see that I ruined his afternoon. He had to go on to some other subject. Apparently, he thought he would get to explain that to his stupid high school students. Haha!
Had I thought about it for another couple of seconds, I would have said it in French. "C'est une image d'une pipe." That would have been even better.
Teachers hated me sometimes.
