into fighting the passage of the Rethugs's new wealthcare bill, which is set for a vote on Thursday.
The Republicans aren't letting themselves be distracted by DT, and the Democrats can't either.

But even Democrats, who in prior months threatened to slow-roll the Senate calendar in the aftermath of former FBI Director James B. Comeys termination, chose instead on Tuesday to keep the attention on the Republican attempt to repeal and replace large portions of the 2010 health law.
In an effort organized by Sen. Patty Murray of Washington, Democrats took to the floor to share stories of concerned constituents about the legislation that would put Medicaid on a stricter budget and rework the tax subsidies that currently help individuals afford insurance.

(36,107 posts)I appreciate that they're being conscientious and doing their jobs
But there's no reason they can't privately pursue a press agenda and have 1 or 2 members get on the tubes and scream and froth.
Trump's potential TREASON is what constituents are talking about.
It's what they're angry about.
No reason someone in the party can't harness that

So did Senator Kaine, who was talking about perjury and obstruction of justice.

(32,701 posts)Where is the passion? If they want Americans to take it seriously, calmly talking about collusion with a smile on the face is not going to do it. I don't think their approach is working or effective.

(12,882 posts)I am SO tired of the pablum from the left. They can demon-straight their command of the English language. But it comes across with the same passion as the burgeoning wave of computer-generated voices. We could use some real EMOTION in said voices, but I guess when you've got YOUR millions - what's the use in getting your blood pressure up for someone else's frustrations???

That might be what YOU want, but to many of us it wouldn't work at all.

(12,882 posts)Why mess with a proven winning formula. Those idiots that don't know why July 4th is a holiday - the ones who still believe that our Rambo president is a pinnacle of leadership? "popular vote" be damned, it was those sorta dullards that gave us what we've got. And they didn't assign him the oval office because of his Ghandi-like aura.
Do I wanna see temper tantrums? Please - afford me the same sorta respect you'd like to be given. This is a country that LOVES sports where folks like to beat the livin' shit outta one another. And that's supposed to be ably countered by chatter like would be heard at a formal tea party???

JUST 3 VOTES TO STOP THIS ...............
It looks like we have them,, One puke senator has said she would be willing to kill this bill by herself..(there was a post about her, (don't recall name)..Include her and Collins, then it is just ONE MORE.. and I do think there is one more, actually more than one.. We will soon see..
