Wages in US dollars are not equivalent. Just because someone makes $173 per month does not mean necessarily they are poor.

Now in this case by our standards she is poor but she is being paid minimum wage. Someone trying to live in new York or San Francisco on our minimum wage would be equally poor if not worse off.

Her rent is $23 per month. She earns $173. She is paying a far lower percentage of her wage towards rent than most Americans. Obviously if she was living in America her $173 wouldn't even get her a room for a week but she is not in America.

Clearly this woman could be living better but, is Ivanka really a dirt bag because she is paying minimum wage? Isn't that really something the government there should be addressing?

I am not Ivanka fan but this particular attack seems weak
