Gwyneth Paltrows Goop posted a defense of its jade eggs for vaginas. Its a mess.

Source: Vox

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop, a lifestyle company dedicated to helping people find health “solutions,” has become an easy target for medical bloggers and journalists who relish a good takedown.

The pile-on keeps happening because Goop keeps making claims that beg for debunking: from bogus “energy healing” stickers purported to be made from the same material as spacesuits (they’re not) to the claim that negative emotions can spoil your drinking water (nope) to the never-ending obsession with “detoxing” the body (which if you’re not a heroin addict you don’t need). (At Vox, we’ve written about many of these.)

On Thursday, the team at Goop posted what it says is the first of many articles confronting its critics. It mostly focuses on Dr. Jen Gunter, an OB-GYN and blogger who’s become one of the most prominent voices in the Goop wars. (Gunter’s personal website has a dozen-plus posts just from this year making the case against Goop claims.)

Rather than offering a clear and coherent defense of alternative medicine, Goop’s statement is filled with ad hominem attacks and baldfaced hypocrisy. But it’s Goop’s central defense of its editorial decision-making that reeks most of “Goopshit.”

Two "eggs" and a cheap sack for $55.66.

There's a rock shop near here that sells these for about four dollars each. What a fucking racket!

Also, your negativity and criticism of the Goop is making my water do a war dance. My dog is scared.

You can order stone eggs made of every sort of stone, including jade for about $6 each. They make the things in China, and eBay is full of people selling them, as are numbers of wholesalers serving the rockshop and metaphysical shop industry.

They're made by machine, are highly polished, and they're cheap as sin.

Some folks collect them. Some folks buy one and put it on a shelf. And now, I find, some people put them in private places in their own bodies. Uff da!

Like all of the crystal and mineral metaphysical hype, they're just rocks. They don't have any sort of miraculous "healing" powers, or any such thing.

Apparently, though, they have enormous profit-making potential if you can convince people that inserting them in their private parts will do something amazing for them.

Hilarious.

I thought she was fresh and lovely in Seven, before she became insufferable.

Plus, I still can't get over Saving Private Ryan losing BP to Shakespeare in Love. But we know that stuff is all a sham anyway.

Ugh - turning my attention to something important - the Red Sox game.

And we can charge more if we call them Jade Yoni Eggs.

From the original article..

"The strictly guarded secret of Chinese royalty in antiquity—queens and concubines used them to stay in shape for emperors..."

Yeah. That's all about empowering women and their sexuality. Doing it all for the man.

You, too, can feel like the concubine of an emperor! You're important because your man is important! Isn't he worth it?

ROFLMAO

Feeling not-so-fresh? No perk in your step? Is your Yoni depressed?

Allow your Yoni to express itself with Jade eggs!
