(6,377 posts)No senator wanted to be "the" 51st vote. But now that it's out, they might start quickly declaring that they're against it. The exact same thing happened with the last version. It took a little time for the 51st vote to declare they would vote no, then within 48 hours, there were 10 other people who came out as "no" votes.

It wouldn't have the votes with the make up of congress, but it would bring the issue to the front, and get the discussion started
