TOO BAD-Billionaire Trump patrons Rebecca & Bob Mercer are apoplectic over the health care debacle

Trump Is Showing The World What A Weak American Presidency Looks Like
More than just the health care collapse, Donald Trump has so far failed to bring the “Art of the Deal” to the White House.

.......

BuzzFeed: “Trump spent much of this past weekend watching the U.S. Women’s Golf Open at his family-owned golf club, a kind of metaphor for a presidency disconnected from actual power. But the health care failure — in which Trump allowed himself to lose control of his own agenda, and then lose the fight for that agenda — was the most humiliating in a sweep of presidential defeats.”

“The White House has lost control of its foreign policy to the military and to allies who can’t work with a globally loathed American leader even if they wanted to. He has lost control of his domestic policy to Congress, which has been unable to give him a signature win despite Republicans controlling both chambers. He has lost control of his own aides to leaks and investigations, of his old television cronies to spiteful personal feuds, and most of all of the narrative of an ‘America First’ presidency with a coherent vision or promise.”

*****Also interesting: “Even the president’s top backers are losing patience. Billionaire Trump patrons Rebecca and Bob Mercer are ‘apoplectic’ over the health care debacle, with renewed fears that Trump’s lofty goals of changing Washington have become all but impossible”*****

Really don't give a shit that they were conned.

The fact that they wanted MORE money at the expense of the sick is what matters.

our period of economic productiveness. We're supposed to die "naturally," including when we can no longer write personal checks for our medical care. Instead, we're living far past our period of usefulness thanks to the medical revolution, AND we have the nerve to legislate to make it available to all of us. Millions of diseased, worthless, blood-suckers threatening to destroy our nation by victimizing the worthy few.

From the past, we should recognize the passion of these supercreeps for the cleansing of society. Religious cleansing, racial cleansing, ethnic cleansing... Bigotry against the not-wealthy is just another form of bigotry, and health cleansing by forcing the natural die-off of people no longer able to work would be just another, new way to act out bigoted hate.

And I suspect their contempt is developing into hate more and more with every reverse.

Their Grover Norquist wet dream:

"Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared."

An idiot in the Presidency is a danger for EVERYONE. What did they expect, they literally begged for and got an idiot! The most powerful idiot in the world!

And all those billionaire dreams of running for President are now on hold, seeing how using the office to enrich yourself may not be a better plan than just enjoying the billions you already have.

bannon wanted to split out of the WH because of issues with Kush? And mercers begged him to stay?

I'm over-googled right now, but I do believe I read that (fwiw, of course)...and so, that makes this fustercluck even more grand: mercers mad at LOSER 45 AND bannon, who obviously can't keep his boy in line.

was nothing but a lie to begin with. Trump didn't write the book, and everything contained in it was just more of Trump's galactic-sized ego rocketing out of his ass again.

Trump is an idea some Americans would love to believe. He's a poor person's idea of a wealthy man. He's a powerless person's idea of a powerful man. He's a classless person's idea of a man with class. He's a loser's idea of a winner. He's a ghost, a phantom, a specter. There is nothing real about him, save his propensity for inflicting harm and misery on others.

He's a fart in a tornado.

IIRC, the Kochs were disappointed at how little their money bought. A couple years ago, there was an episode of "American Greed" about a guy who claimed to be a rare wine dealer and scammed one of the Koch brothers out of millions.

This is a potential problem for Republicans because if these super rich conservatives decide the GOP is a bad investment, a big chunk of their funding could dry up fast.
