Urgent: Politico reports senate moving closer to Obamcare repeal as disagreements 'congeal'

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/07/19/trump-congress-no-recess-health-care-240718

Bad news. I'm stunned really. They're really going to pass this turd sandwhich.

After the WH meeting, the republican holdouts are meeting tonight to settle their differences at 7:30, differences are being bridged, and the senate republican leadership now expects to at least open debate on the bill next week. There are quotes in the article that the motion to proceed will at least pass now. They claim to have momentum now.

Floored and stunned!

If John Coryn says it is a go, it will fail big. Also see McConnell's wishful thinking. emulatorloo Jul 2017 #1

I need to note this article describes "wishful thinking" on McConnell's part. See this paragraph:

"The meeting will is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Supporters of the repeal bill hope that key holdouts and skeptics attend, including: Sens. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Rob Portman of Ohio, Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska."

----------------

So they've set up a meeting and they "hope" Capito, Collins, and Paul will come to their little Trumpcare party tonight. Those are the Senators I am aware of who have said they will vote no. They seem solid in their positions

MCConnell can "hope" all night long that these folks come to his little party. Doesn't mean they will, and doesn't mean they'll change their no vote.

Of course still need to call our Senators.

They'll get the Teabaggers to go along, but they won't get the "moderates," especially now that CNN is reporting 32 million will lose health insurance.

The irony is that they left the three Republican Female Senators out of the discussion on the substance of the Republicans Health Care plans, now they need them at a meeting.

These women are very nicely and politely telling Donald Trump to go fuck himself.

Yep the fact female Senator was allowed in those sessions says a lot about Mitch and Trump.. They're doing their job: looking out for their constituents.

besides they can do a full repeal that doesn't go into affect for years and then they are hit hard every day until 2018 and 2020 election. There is no upside for republicans...as it will play out

Collins, Murkowski and Capito plus 46 Dems and 2 Indys make 51.

Repukes, minus McCain make 48.

Everything else is bull shit.

Terrible. @SenCapito knows Trump would cut Medicaid for 200K of her constituents, and she's pretending otherwise:

Nobody knows what they're being asked to vote for, "Repeal & Delay" is a flaming disaster according to CBO, and the Senate Parliamentarian has ruled some pretty big things in BCRA as being out of order in terms of Reconciliation- and it's being reported to have "momentum"
