is unequal treatment under the law.

The outcome of the previous case in which he was found not guilty should've never come into his sentencing.

GET PROBATION.....and OJ got nine years for trying to get his memorabilia stuff back. He got nine years because of Nicole and Ron Johnson's murders. I think that the time he got for the hotel room crime was way out of line and he should get paroled.

His crime was a felony with minor (if any) potential harm to the public.

Nobody got hurt physically or killed during the commission of the crime.

It isn't due process to have his parole denied when the crime had nothing to do with prior accusations of other crimes.

OJ doesn't appear to be a threat to the public at large.

Allegedly Simpson has been a "model prisoner", causing no problems while in prison.

And FWIW, he isn't Charles Manson or Sirhan Sirhan, individuals who will never be allowed to leave prison except in a coffin.

I'm sure he murdered them. Not a doubt in my mind.

Cochran was brilliant, and the prosecution stepped all over themselves.

I will never get the image of Ron Goldman's father and sister's face after the original verdict out of my head--not to mention the Brown family.

That said, he wasn't sent to prison for their murders, unfair as it is, so he rightfully should be paroled if he qualifies.

the requirements for parole.

Hopefully by having served time, he will have gotten the message to just go away and live out the rest of his life quietly and accept the blessing of his acquittal for a brutal and bloody double murder. Just go away, O.J!

No more, no less.

There is a strong arguement to be made for making these parole board hearings blind where the board just reviews written records. No photos. No names.

More so to eliminate possible racial bias, but this case shows how the persons celebrity status or known possible role in a crime not relevant to the hearing can be an influence the same way.

But did you watch the actual trial proceedings? I did. The whole thing.

I would have agreed with the jurors' verdict of "not guilty". As one of the former jurors stated in a recent interview, their job was to determine whether or not there was a reasonable doubt. Johnnie Cochran and his team definitely successfully planted reasonable doubt in the evidence produced.

Marsha Clark and Christopher Darden seemed so star struck that, with all of the assets available to them, they didn't do their jobs well.

It was all a sad commentary on America's fascination with celebrity.

The best thing that sprung out of the OJ Trial was Barry Scheck and Peter Neufeld's "Project Innocence".

He's creepy as fuck. I'm of the opinion he killed his wife and that joke he made about fidelity made me scream. I think he's without conscience. But for this crime he's done plenty of time.

He's going to ride some serious celebrity if he's released and it's going to hurt some people.

They would of been given probation if not 1-3 years max. There are people doing the same number of years for manslaughter that OJ got for a crime nobody was harmed. So with that being said YES, Release him.

As much hoopla that surrounds on this, this is case about a robbery dispute between a fallen celebrity and some sleazy memorabilia collectors, so there's not a whole lot of sympathy for anyone involved.

As much as people want to make the case about what happened in 1994 and 1995, that ship has sailed and has no legal effect on today's proceedings.

So let the cards fall as they may. Release him, keep him locked up, it's not a pressing issue to me.

This isn't the peaceable, prosperous 1990s where we could afford to be distracted by celebrity scandals.
