... and his Russian KKKlan.
There's very little reason to believe a damn thing the Russians say intercepts or not
The set up being the intercepts by the IC are Russians talking CLAIMING there were campaign related conversations last year not any intercepts of Sessions admitting anything.
Sessions is stuck cause he went to congress acting like he didn't know shit ... now he's going to say he knows he didn't talk about campaign issues with the Russians sounds like perjury.
If more of Americas Russia Party (formally know as the GOP) come out against sessions including the leadership then we can all put some good money on it that Ryan and McConnell are being paid big by Russia.
Winter is coming, ... I pray America has 3 big dragons to light some shit up when it does.
P.S. The CeC (Conservative Entertainment Complex) is pushing Meuller is a HRC shill pretty hard ... I mean hard, no other outlets are pushing this crap because they know its a bunch of bull. Meuller is out ... Sessions being fired on is a good tell tale for that also

That makes us as dumb as the GOP but not quite complicit. Small consolation if you ask me.

(90,335 posts)... Sessions out of the way so they can fire Mueller

(128,905 posts)although Sessions represents a whole confederate flag-waving chunk of the base and that might piss off some of that crowd.

(108,977 posts)Trump wants Sessions to resign so a new Attorney General would then be overseeing the Mueller probe -- not Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller.
BumRushDaShow
(128,905 posts)that is probably true. However I don't know who else would want to take that "loyalty oath" (although Joy blurted out Chris Christie's name this evening )

(128,905 posts)We are the media market for S. Jersey so unfortunately New Jersey and its foibles make up a significant amount of our news here in Philly. Crispy has the lowest approval rate for any NJ governor in history - 15%.
I think Drumpf would be put off by him mainly because he is a bully and eventually they are going to have an alpha male showdown. And although Crispy is licking his chops for a chance, it would eventually become
Drumpf needs someone meek and malleable.

(14,564 posts)The NYT interview was 45 trying to get him to resign so he can play innocent, "I love him, he's been with me all along, I wouldn't have fired him ..."
Sessions is thinking it will look better for him to get fired, play the victim and try to say he wasn't in league with 45, he was standing up to him.

(80,708 posts)He signed that MMJ law grudgingly. You know he hated it.
BumRushDaShow
(128,905 posts)He sat on a closed beach because he wouldn't sign the state's budget bill.
Hell... NJ's medical marijuana bill is more comprehensive than the one here in PA (which doesn't include smokeable weed if I'm not mistaken - supposed to be oral such as in use in pills, etc). But the GOP's problem is - a good sized chunk of their "base" are Libertarians who want no regulation at all, and MJ is something that they lump into the pile of things that should be regulation-free. So he would appear as a hypocrite if he decided to suddenly get holier-than-thou.
Warren DeMontague
(80,708 posts)support full legalization. At least, the Democratic Party candidates do.
http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2017/05/christie_legalizing_marijuana_in_nj_is_beyond_stup.html
One interesting thing about that whole "libertarian wing" thing- when you get out to my side of the country, our state Democrats consistently skew in favor of things like cannabis legalization, 1st/4th Amendment rights, being opposed to censorship and in favor of strong encryption/net neutrality, etc..
and guess what? The Libertarian Party here is a joke, because fully half of their appeal - the social issue side - has been embraced and adopted by progressives, and rightly so.
And legalization works- it may still be the realm of theory on the Eastern Seaboard, still, but out west it is up and running just fine.
Now, like I said, the leading candidates for Gov. in NJ have caught a clue on the matter- I suspect, in part, as a reaction to Christie being such an ass about it- but unfortunately there is still a tendency toward establishment foot-dragging. Contrast the desperate attempts on the part of the state government in Mass. to delay, delay, delay and "protect" the voters from full recreational cannabis coming online as they voted for, with NV (and, before that, OR) implementing recreational sales even EARLIER than the voters had asked for.
There's a real cultural and geographic distinction, in my mind, but the East will catch up.
BumRushDaShow
(128,905 posts)He is the "east coast moderate" Republican. His problem is that he has been and always will be a rude and obnoxious bully, who is quick with the temper and retorts. And that's usually the sign of a coward who has learned to attack first before being attacked. His thing (of late) has been the opioid addiction issue and if anything, he would probably prioritize that over chasing MJ.
Contrast that with my (PA's) previous GOP governor Corbett, who refused to advance medical marijuana until he began to moderate his position just before the election (in 2014). When Wolf (our current Democratic governor) was elected, Wolf worked with the majority-GOP legislature to at least get something on the books, even if watered down.
Warren DeMontague
(80,708 posts)he would have been perfectly happy to accomodate the Mike Pence Theocrat crowd, if he had managed to poll over 3%, of course.
....that was the same time when he pulled his shit about "if you're getting high in Colorado today, enjoy it now, because on Jan 21 2017, as President I will come and arrest all of you"...
Like I said, though, the East Coast will catch up. Legalization has been extremely successful on our side of the country.

(108,977 posts)Since they couldn't get Sessions to resign after the NYTimes interview, now they're trying this. They want Sessions to resign so they can appoint a new AG to oversee the Mueller probe -- someone who won't be recused, like Sessions.

(14,564 posts)45 is trying to force sessions to resign so he can play innocent, "I love him, he has been with me all along, id never fire him!" to not get another obvious obstruction charge.
Sessions knows he is in a bad spot, and wants to be fired to say he wasn't in league with 45, he was a victim and was standing up to him.
Keep in mind, sessions is a simple ass fool.

Red Don can make up the "well the IC said" crap all he wants but it'd be like he's cherry picking data just to fire sessions since he's dogged America's IC up and down so far.
The big reaction will be coming from the America Russia Part (formally known as the GOP) ... Ryan and McConnell stays quite then we're in some deep shit.
It wont be them just wanting political power, it'd be them getting paid some big bucks to screw all of us.
