The news is getting worse and worse for Trump but...

Nothing has any effect on him and he may even get a big win tomorrow by eliminating healthcare for millions which willl make his ratings shoot upwards.
Ever since he started running everyone talks about how his behavior will kill him any day now.
Any day.
Well there have been a hell of a lot of any days and he's doing just fine.
He's kicking his people around and creating chaos but that is just normal Trump life.

People should stop talking about how this or that will bring him down. It won't.
So Mueller proves that he colluded with Putin to hack the Democrats
, lied about it, masterminded the coverup and danced on a pee soaked bed with prostitutes..
Nothing there that would have any effect on his position at all. So he openly flaunts the constitution he swore to uphold. Problem? Nope. Just fine for him to do that.

Face it, nothing but a Democratinc takeover of both houses will have any effect on him. Unless that happens he will be free to remake America in his own image and will probably succeed
In doing so.

But the German people gave into him enmasse even as they saw his brown shirts illegally beating people who opposed him. It wasn't until they were deep in the war that they began to wake up.

This according to "the rise and fall of the third Reich"

It tended to be more a big city thing during the earlier years, and was sold very much as the nazis protecting the people from the heavily demonized communists/Jews/others.

The Trump mob of course use their decades of scaremongering against black groups and communities in the same way, to provide a rationale and justification to their voters for violence. Horrible to watch the same tactics still being effective so many years later.

Trump has nowhere near the intellect, nor does he have the charisma, nor in all likelihood, a willingness to be AS evil as his hero Adolph.

He'll do some evil shit, as he's shown, but I don't think he's willing to take shit to THAT level. At least, I really hope not. And I don't think this country will allow it to get ... like that ... yet. I think we're at least 20 years away from that, in that it'd take a really prolonged Depression for a sense of hopelessness to overtake the country powerful enough for something like the Nazi's to happen here.

And even then there'd have to be a palpable scapegoat, and a 'way out' like the people of Germany felt was the case in the 1930's. That country was being 'held down' ... the people were 'doing worse' than people in other parts of the world, that could be pointed to by the fascists.

But our people here have been told (and there's evidence to support) that we 'have it great', 'we're #1', etc.

By the time the US seriously falls, the whole world will also probably be falling as well. There won't be an area we could, as a country, expand to, to make our lives all better.

IOW, that same dynamic as what led to Nazi Germany, will likely never 'exist' for the USA.

But ... the power of propaganda, racism, and general stupidity ... should probably not be discounted.

Trump is at least unfocused.
In Hitler's first 6 months he managed to get the right from the parliament to decree laws without votes and outlawed all but the Nazi party. He was very focused and very quickly managed to grab unprecedented control.

NOTE: Nothing here implies a threat to the president or those of his staff or cabinet. I wish them nothing but the best health. I just want them to go away.

The Republican party won't impeach him, with the reason, that while he provides the daily entertainment and shiny things, they will totally dismantle this government until it looks like the mayor's office of Hooterville, and probably clean out the Treasury while they are at it.

only worried about the bottom line
anti-woman
anti-worker
anti-little guy
anti-science

He shares all these qualities with today's GOP.
Do I need to go on?
