Bernie Sanders and his staff are doing heroic work on fighting Trumpcare.

This has flown under the radar, but Bernie is the ranking member on the Senate Budget Committee. That means it's he and his staffers arguing before the Senate Parliamentarian over which provisions of Trumpcare should be ruled ineligible for reconciliation rules. It's an unglamorous, detail-oriented grind involving charts, analysis and number-crunching.

The vote tonight on Trumpcare faced a 60 vote hurdle because Bernie and his team successfully argued for many of its provisions to require 60 votes instead of 51.

Bernie is acting very much like a team player, and a leader, and is doing it away from the cameras and isn't hogging any credit or the spotlight.

Thank you, Bernie!

2. I'm talking about Sanders's work on this flying under the radar.

Lord knows I've had my criticisms of him in the past for being all talk. He's stepped up to the plate big time here.

3. I am not criticizing Bernie on this, I am just saying this wasn't flying under the radar. The

republicans knew about this, and were warned about it from the parlimentarian

The fact is you are right we are all in this together, and Bernie putting emphasis on it is a good thing.

The question is will the republicans be able to pass a skinny down version of the repeal, and cause it to implode on its on. That is my biggest concern

4. Some bitter irony that they're trying to replace

President Obama's law with ... 2007-2008 candidate Obama's plan (ACA without the mandate).

5. I know. The Heritage foundation's blue print. I once had a manger who tended to resist

a solution to a problem, unless the solution came from him. What we ended up doing was finessing it in such a way that we made him think it came from him

Nature is really perverted, but human nature is even more so
