Transgender ban in military based soley on politics (and hate)

How will GrOPers up for re-election respond when they are forced to make hate a key plank of their campaigns? Oh, wait, they aren't forced, are they.

GrOPers are PIGS. That's how I respond.

If this is allowed to stand, they'll pick another target to go after.

And if that's allowed to stand, they'll pick another.

And so on.

Most people, even on this website, still have no clue how horrifying Trump is and what he is capable of. This last 6 months has been a nightmare, but know that there has been no crisis Trump has had to deal with. A good portion of Trump voters(maybe 15%) would love to see every LGBT man, woman, and child in our country exterminated in concentration camps. That is no exaggeration. And we know that Trump only cares about the most extreme elements of his voting block.

Genocide can happen here.

With the increased likelihood of combat if Trump attacks another nation.

A win is allowing patriotic Americans of all genders to continue serving honorably in our armed forces. Thousands of LGBT Americans have devoted their lives and careers to serving our country, Trump wants to take that away from them because he is a bigot.

If gender is no longer a selection criteria for serving, does it also mean that gender is no longer a selection criteria for the draft, it means that all genders are eligible, correct? This has consequences beyond LGBT.

I don't think this has any bearing on registering for the draft, but Trump is saying if a draft was instituted, transgender individuals would not be selected to serve.

What are you even talking about? We do not have a draft in this country and haven't in a generation.

A win is that transgender people get to pursue their hopes and dreams just like anyone else in this country. Thousands of transgender people currently pursue their careers in the US Armed forces, a win is that they get to continue doing so.

AS someone who works with a lot of ex military, some people don't seem to understand, for a lot of them serving in the military is all they've ever wanted to do. It's provided them with careers, schooling, and a future and it's their way of life. The Bigot in the White House wants to take that from people.
