When Trump thinks family and others close to him are flipping, his erratic behavior will accelerate. I think this is already happening.

Another thing that is already happening is the republicans are beginning to jump ship. They can't get anything passed as long as they are joined to Trumps hip and they are beginning to realize this. We must be careful that we don't start to take a better view of those who walk away from Trump. Those two female Senators that voted no the other day both have voted over 50 times to repeal Obamacare with no replacement. They are not good guys. Just because Trump may fire Sessions, that doesn't make him the good guy. That little Klan weasel is still slime. These people aren't running from Trump to join our side, they are running from him because he is no longer useful to further their agenda. You get the idea. We must keep our eye on the ball. They are all the enemy and are only looking out for themselves.

Under the policy from last year, new recruits who are trans would be officially enlisted starting 7/1/17. After training in policies and procedures for all DoD personnel was to be completed. (I just read up on this. Along with significant chunks of the policy. Should be required reading, I suspect many would object to it.)

In any event in June that enlistment start-date was pushed back pending "review."

It can't be pushed back indefinitely. Review probably started at once. And probably in each case had (or has) a target conclusion. No guarantee that the review was completed by yesterday. Or it may be that Trump was given an executive summary and sent out the tweet as a result. Or it came up in discussion.

Or maybe Trump didn't like where the review was going or its progress and decided to pre-empt it. Meh.

Could be wrong, but it provides a reason for the timing and the content as well as clearing up an action in the "pending" column.
