Congress protected Sessions and forced Trump into a corner. He lashed out at them by taking out Priebus. I think he made a serious misjudgment.

(37,364 posts)rageful. He's really pissed at Sessions, who he would gladly shove off Trump Tower. Senatev is largely old school GOP and Sessions is one of them. . Sessions is a perceived threat because his recusal has contributed to Mueller's appointment and investigation
By extension, Priebus was organizer for party candidates and has strong ties to these people. The events of this week have been humiliating for Trump in many ways. He lashed out , taking Priebus to make up for Sessions being keep out of reach. He also wanted set an example around leaks.
It is an animalistic bloodletting, feral and vicious.
