(111,339 posts)I think it's likely to get his security clearance removed and maybe a fine levied.
Everything that isolates the man-baby in the WH is a good thing.

(22,048 posts)This was a fast Google search:
https://www.bustle.com/p/does-donald-trump-jr-have-security-clearance-hes-not-a-government-employee-72626
I'm not certain about the site's veracity, however, there is this point that makes sense:

(111,339 posts)They are his close associates and sit in on briefings.
No, they have no official titles, have not been vetted by anybody but Man-baby, and have not been approved by Congress. That doesn't make any difference to the Orange Excrescence.

(60,010 posts)You get the dipshits in front of a Grand Jury to testify against the one you really want.
dipshits get a lesser plea and/or no jail time.
Best yet, Trump just fired a handful of people most likely to rat on him now.

(1,301 posts)Might be more. Really no way to know. It's been a pretty tight lipped investigation.

(22,048 posts)Witnesses in grand jury proceedings are generally not allowed to have their lawyers advising them during questioning. This could be a big problem for Junior when Robert Mueller subpoenas him.
The biggest problems with lies are that they are in conflict with material facts and they're hard to remember, especially when you've told several different and inconsistent stories previously. When Junior testifies, Mr. Mueller's team will have already developed a clear image of the scope of their investigation and for the most part, the prosecutors will know the answers to the questions they'll put to him. This can serve two purposes: first to probe the witness for additional details and second to test the witness's veracity. Since the Trump's have built a mountain of lies, keeping them straight will be nearly impossible.
Since Junior is not very bright, he'll be in a lot of trouble trying to keep his story together. He'll have a hard time not incriminating himself and not committing perjury. Oh, to be a fly on the wall of that hearing room!

(22,048 posts)Toby Zeigler was asked about a vote that presidential candidate Josiah Bartlet made as a Congressman. His response is good advice:
"I asked him about his vote. He told me. I said that if asked about it tonight, he should-- if only because it's the easiest thing to remember-- tell the truth."
Applicable in most parts of life.

(60,010 posts)Instant new charges of perjury, obstruction, etc. to add heft getting them to rat out dear ole daddy.
does not apply to Trump himself as a witness, cause he lies about everything, rather effortlessly and does not appear bothered by it, just keeps confabulating along.
