Fox headline today: Would you care if he is guilty. Wow.

Somebodu must know something.
Fox has been remarkable in timing news to help Trump.

In this article Fox is weaving between facts and reasons to ignore facts, arguing that 76% of REPUBLICANS support Trump..therefore it does not matter if he is guilty.

Wow.

The question we need to ask it...why that message, now?

the threshold where Trump would be in serious trouble with Republicans. If he's at 76% now - and it's only going to go lower - he's got some serious problems. I don't give a crap WHAT FAUX News says. And contrary to what Michael Moore says, Trump IS going to go somewhere.......to jail.

if he is in office in 2020 we are almost guarenteed a Democratic win for president.

Then again the country would be in ruins so forget that.

All they care about is holding the executive office and majority in both chambers. Party first...all other considerations are secondary.

The one time trump was not lying is when he said he could shoot someone in Times Square and not lose a single vote.

Would you like a dictator? Be honest, now. It would be better than a Democrat any day. Does it really matter if Russia owns our country? How is that really going to affect you idiots in red areas?

I suggest starting a "Russian only" meme. "This is a Russian satellite country. Speak Russian!" That should piss off a few RWNJs.

Pound it in their heads early and often. That way, when bang, bang Mueller's Silver Hammer comes down upon his head, the Trumpites will be comfortably desensitized and will reject in all regards the verdict and the punishment.

Dangerous times.

It's not total acceptance.

As we hear Trump devotees wail that colluding with a hostile foreign power isn’t a crime or cavil that Mueller & Co. might find other crimes unrelated to Russian disruption, what we are really hearing is their acceptance of wrongdoing. This is the big: “So what?”

The underlying argument is that she probably did something even worse, so if he lied, cheated and maybe even stole the election. For after all, he would have been only beating Democrats at their own game.

Even though this view represents a minority of a minority, it is still pretty strong evidence of an unwell national civic culture. It is also like money in the bank for Trump.

The ending:

That’s why we revisit this thought experiment from time to time. If we imagine that all that has been said and accused is true, would enough Republicans care enough to want Trump out?

Certainly the passing of time helps the president as voters get accustomed to a new reality that would have shocked them before. But also the condition of the country and its economy matters too.

And since whatever is revealed will almost certainly fall short of the most hysterical claims of Trump’s foes, it may not even take an economic boom to keep at least the overwhelming majority of Republicans on board.

The article is full of "this is just what the Democrats said about Bill Clinton" false equivalence.
