The Republicans have them, guns, god and anti abortion. Yeah, free markets, lower taxes and others too, but every Republican I know it comes down to those three. They are what keeps them solidly R.
Do Dems have them? How do we bring the Rs over if those are the main ideas? Or do we forget about it?

(3,569 posts)Ending corporate PERSONHOOD is number one. Unless that changes, NOTHING CHANGES. That would invalidate Citizen's United and create some fairness in election financing. Also everything on everyone's list would not be possible unless this happens first.
Energy. Change the subsidy paradigm to rooftop solar instead of grid based systems. Subsidize electric automakers.
Healthcare. Socialized. 100% free, like Canada. Now our system punishes you if you have a job. If you are poor, you have healthcare. If you work you pay. And if you make diddly squat you are screwed. Why would anyone, with a couple of kids work when the healthcare costs would be astronomical. Add in a pre existing condition and you've got a real problem.
