(1,353 posts)Taylor's info on the NYAG stuff has pretty spot on I believe? He announced the grand juries in VA months ago and he's been talking up the Trump Modeling and sex trafficking which would be way too creepy and if true, might finally break into his base??

(108,977 posts)Sometimes in criminal cases involving multiple subjects they have reasons for sealing indictments while the Grand Jury continues its work.

For example, they might indict someone and then seal the indictment while they work to convince him to give evidence against someone else. If they were satisfied with the cooperation they received, they might consider dropping the indictment.

Once it gets the indictment, the government can maintain an indictment sealed for various reasons. For instance, it may have an ongoing investigation and does not want to make it publicly known for some reason (they are using a person/defendant who is working as an informant with the government, for instance).
