I already sacrificed my youth to foolish indiscretions, my ownership to my house to the cats, my love of liquor to a bleeding ulcer and my hope for a brighter future to the possibility of Trump being in office for 4 years.

However, on the 21st. I will build a small fire in the backyard, sprinkle it with magical powders, smoke a pipe and chant until the sun reappears - I hope it works.

2. The air quality and environment

in the region I live in, expecting a massive horde to move in, creating massive traffic jams and ramping up the risk of wild fires even higher than it already is. In addition, I will sacrifice going to the store or to my friend's day long bbq/party to view and socialize, so that I don't have to deal with all of that traffic, and a day working in my classroom to get ready for the school year, since my district has announced a lockdown with no employees allowed in on that day.

I will sacrifice my own viewing for the crowds, if they will just all go home immediately after.

The sheer numbers of people coming in? Intimidating to me, at least. And all those people camping in people's pastures, etc., during fire season? We already can't breathe or see very far past all the smoke from the current fires.
