August 21. After all (as I heard a scientist say) it is the scientists who predict these phenomena.

(82,849 posts)For all the flat-earth, young earth, God did it, nincompoops out there, what do they have to say when the duration and path of the solar eclipse is timed out right to the second as it crosses the continent? Is it just a series of really lucky guesses for them? Do they wonder why solar eclipses never happen at night? Are they baffled that solar eclipses never happen during a full moon?

(25,309 posts)You will see a bunch of them saying that it proves that the "Earth is flat". They say that eclipses were predicted long before the "earth is round" theory.
Seriously, there are some crazy eclipse videos out there.

NONE OF THEM.
Fascinating. Google is as untrustworthy as always, the kerfluffle from 2 days ago notwithstanding.
Anywho, moving on, here's the link! Sure enough, it's a 'sign from god'. Apparently the one we've all been waiting for (except for the last five hundred or so times it was 'the one', natch)!
