comment on that article:

This is not a credible statement. The Republican party has been courting the "white supremacy" platform for 60 years. That's why the "Democrats" of the 1950's are "Republicans" today.

It is not credible to try to declare that "white nationalists" can't be part of the GOP when the "southern strategy" has been a linchpin (or should it be "lynch pin&quot Republican policy for decades. When Barack Obama was running for president in 2008, some of the Republican campaign rallies looked like KKK rallies. Nobody was fooled by the "take our country back" rhetoric - people knew what that meant.

It is not credible for the GOP to embrace the racist "birtherism" baloney and try to pretend that racism has no place in the Republican party. Challenges to citizenship was the strategy used to deny Hiram Revels, the first black person to be elected to the US senate, his duly won senate seat. Almost 150 years later, the same strategy was brushed off to try to challenge the first black person to be elected as US president.

Racism is woven into the history of today's Republican party (note that I remark *today's* Republican party because today's Republican party is what used to be the Democratic party).

To differentiate "white Americans" from "radical leftists."

I'm a white American. And apparently a radical leftist, since I stand against hatred and racism.
