Until racism and bigotry are recognized as an affront against humanity, our nation

will never move forward.

This weekends White Nationalist rally was an unforgiving and disgusting show of bigotry and self rightness. And so for those of you who sneak over here to take a peek at posts and comments on DU - and if you belong to the KKK, the White Supremacist, the Alt-Right and Nazi groups; I ask you this question. What are you afraid of? Talk to the rest of us - not at us, not against us. Step forward and offer workable solutions - face to face - not in riot gear, not holding hate signs. Be the hero, the better angel. Find a way to stop hating the "other". Use your Twitter and Facebook to encourage others of your mindset to stop the hate and to embrace everyone, just as you want to be embraced. Take a look at the people you are fighting - they are open and accepting of everyone - you included if you let them. Change every heart…every mind…you could start a movement, stop being afraid of change. You could be the hero.

that has been continuous throughout our history. And those of us who are white really need to admit our participation even if it has been neglect and denial without malice.
THIS is a time to pick a side.

They're afraid to compete based on their actual merit as human beings, so they cling to the idea that the amount of melanin in their gene pool and their gender should automatically grant them the advantage of natural "leadership".
We're all just supposed to let them be in charge. Because they're afraid of us not paying enough deference to them and their small personal world views.

They think they outnumber the rest of the world. And they'll happily disenfranchise or "get rid of" tend to hundreds of millions of their fellow human just to be the majority.

They want enemies. They seek out enemies. Having enemies justifies their fear, selfishness, and otherwise baseless aggression in their minds.
They'll only talk and work with others once they stop being afraid and realize there's a whole huge universe outside the snow globe pseudo-reality they've locked themselves into.
