Seriously, was any DU'er shocked by Trump's reaction to Charlottesville?

Horrified, disgusted, repulsed, angered, damn right. But shocked? No. Anyone who has listened to him knows exactly what he is -- and that includes his supporters.

but I understand he was understandably uncomfortable when he did it. He always is when he has to suborn his natural assholiness and appear empathetic. He can't fake that very well at all.

He sucks.

it took him a long time to 'disavow' david duke and when he did it was if he was annoyed. He never said anything bad about duke or white supremacists though. This is his core base that got him elected and without them his rallies would become empty.

about his comment was the fact that he made one at all. I thought he'd ignore it like he does with anything else that requires an ounce of compassion from him.

I was sure he would ignore it like the Mosque bombing.

It looked like some one in the WH pushed him out there to say something and he did his usually idiot act.

The entire Trump administration is infested with bigotry and racism. They only speak up when forced into a corner.

He's not going to criticize his own kind. My hope is that something good comes out of it, that Americans wake up and see what is going on around them and say "enough of this evil, its time to impeach this unamerican lout and boot his disgusting cabal of fascists from the halls of our government."

He is NEVER going to denounce white supremacists because he is one. He is their role model.
