I saw another quote that said most of them were carrying firearms. That's an explosive situation, especially because the line of self-defense gets blurred when you are armed and someone close enough to take the weapon.

I still don't know who that dude is -- haven't been to @yesyoureracist in a while to see if he's been outed. But I did read a good piece somewhere (WaPo? Guardian? NYT?) about "free speech" militia groups from PA and NY who went to Charlottesville to "keep the peace." One member disparaged the "right-wing lunatics" -- that pic looks like one shoving a Nazi/Klansman kook into the bushes.

The police not doing their job killed a young woman and injured more.

Our side would have been arrested for doing the same thing.

We have the right to protect ourselfs.

If our side would not have fought back it might have happened.

Also the bats and poles should have been taken away.

The cops killed two of their own in the helicopter accident because they were afraid or were supporting the nazis.
