It's a good statement for him to make, but you just know that some white people are thinking, "he's making that statement because he's black" and so aren't given it the same weight as if a white CEO had done the same thing.

People don't fully realize that corporate culture in America is largely one where inclusiveness is built in now. Most CEOs realized long ago that diversity and inclusiveness makes companies stronger and more competitive. I'd love to see more CEOs alienate the Fuhrer.

None of this means that there isn't still discrimination and bias throughout corporations, just that they've made huge strides in the last decade or two.

At first, they were all for keeping races/cultures apart but, when finally forced to, they soon realized the strength diversity produces.

A CEO Who's Who Of Trump's Manufacturing Council

Dustin Blitchok , Benzinga Staff Writer
January 27, 2017 4:36pm

A group of more than two dozen CEOs have been tapped by President Donald Trump to create recommendations to grow the American manufacturing sector.

The group convenes at a time when Trump is pledging to cut corporate taxes, slash regulations and also heavily tax companies that outsource manufacturing jobs.

Who are the C-suite occupants selected by the new president? Let’s take a look.

Donald Trump once again proves what a lame excuse he is for a man, let alone a president. Any criticism is met with a twitter version of 'fire & fury,' as Trump blasted Frazier for his resignation.

Any Republican who does not speak out is equally responsible. They own this; they own him and his moral cowardice.

Frazier was made Merck’s corporate counsel – a company’s chief lawyer – in 1999. His biggest task was defending Merck from an onslaught of lawsuits relating to its handling of the painkiller Vioxx, which was withdrawn from the market in 2004 after large studies showed it caused heart attacks. Some Wall Street analysts forecast that Merck could face a $50 billion legal bill from the drug, but Frazier insisted on fighting case by case, resulting in a total liability of less than $5 billion.

It was Frazier’s success defending the company against Vioxx that led him to get the CEO job, in 2011.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/aug/14/donald-trump-kevin-plank-under-armour-quits-advisory-council-charlottesville

Three executives have quit Donald Trump’s business advisory panel, throwing it into chaos, in the wake of the president’s failure to immediately denounce white supremacists over a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left one dead and several others injured.

The CEOs of pharmaceutical giant Merck, sportswear retailer Under Armour and computer company Intel have all resigned from Trump’s American Manufacturing Council as pressure mounts for business leaders who aligned themselves with the president to abandon his administration.

Plank quit after Kenneth Frazier, the CEO of pharmaceutical giant Merck and one of the US’s most high-profile African American executives, stepped down from the council on Monday as Trump came under intense criticism for initially failing to condemn white supremacists and neo-Nazi groups following the Charlottesville attack.
