We've got a segment of this country that is, quite frankly, doomed... and they prefer it that way
The peak of the collective existence, in their own minds, happened in the past before they were born and it was during the time when their ancestors owned other human beings or when their more recent ancestors had the right to treat these other human beings like second class citizens.
That is glory to them. Those were the good old days to them.
Things will never be as good in their minds, the present and future can only be an imitation of this era at best if they really try. "Make America Great Again" is the slogan for a reason.
The sad thing is, and maybe it's so shocking and we don't see it, is that they have become organized in their hopelessness and obsession with the past. Looking at the future is scary. Looking to the outside is "fake news". Looking to the other is being "politically correct".
Well we have to realize it and we have to out-organize these people, we are fighting for the future.
