I've had many disagreements with Elaine Chao through the years but she always seemed intelligent and generally aware of the world - but - how in the name if basic decency did she manage to stand beside Trump during his "remarks" without walking out? How can she continue to serve a self-avowed racist?

For that matter, how can any self-respecting person remain in the cabinet or White House staff?

I keep hearing folks say tRumputin's dissing Yertle and boy Yertle's gonna go after him if tRumputin doesn't stop. I say that's HOG WASH. Yertle hates Pres. Obama, but he'll gladly tolerate tRumputin's racist, crazy, mentally-declining behavior as long as that fat, orange monkey can hold a pen and sign in any legislation so he (Yertle) can get his racist, hateful agenda passed that can further destroy this country economically and in ALL ways, and he'll be there for tRumputin if he doesn't go completely off mentally or if Mueller keeps his job and can "take him out" so to speak. Now, IF tRumputin ever fires Chao, then it MAY be on between Yertle & fatso and even then Yertle knows he needs Mango Mussolini in there for as long as he lasts to further his "cause," and we know that Yertle's "cause" is for the richest 1%, white, wealthy males like himself and will be foul, nasty, racist and anti-American for those of us who oppose him/tRumputin/GOP.

I'm afraid the responses are all correct. I have always tried to assume the best of people until presented with evidence to the contrary.

The evidence is now clear.

I do stand by my position that anyone with a minimum of self-respect would resign from the Cabinet or White House staff. Failing to do so now, proves the absence of basic decency.
