If we get rid of the current crop of leaders, we still have the great mass of fascist pricks -- who placed the current leaders into power -- to contend with.

Trump had lots of words in many different directions - so we don't know what he meant. He chose to answer so neither side could call him out on anything. A coward.

(2,340 posts)after mentioning tragedy and heart breaking - that he stands with the President and he stands by those words. By saying that, he is giving himself an out. He did not mention specifically "good people" or anything about the Civil War generals and the founders of this nation.
He left himself wiggle room.
