We all do make presumptive associations and statements. Of course it is very hard to get evidence of money or directives flowing between parties. We can hope/guess(or not) that our powerful intelligence agencies know everything but they can't tell us, etc.

However I do know that when a gun bill was coming up for a vote in my little state, buses of outside-of-state hunters (or actors in orange) were brought in to protest.

I'm not really sure why the Koch's and Adelman-type characters want to foment this type of hatred. This is a major question that needs to be answered. Since they only operate to increase profits - perhaps long-term - can they benefit by civil disruption and/or civil war? There must be some learned dissertations that talk about following the money in these cases.
