Well, at least Tina Fey agrees with me.

I posted this on Tuesday:

They want confrontation. What if we don't play?
The WS WANT confrontation.
That's what gets them the publicity.
What if we didn't play?
What if we didn't give them what they want?

Just put the word out to not be there.
Let them march around with their tiki torches and chant and rant in a deserted area.
What do you think?

Colin Jost introduced Fey, who is a 1992 graduate of the University of Virginia, when she joined the SNL anchor desk to share her thoughts about the white supremacist rally that resulted in the death of Heather Heyer last weekend in Charlottesville.

'I know a lot of us are feeling anxious and asking ourselves, what can I do? I'm just one person, what can I do? I would urge people Saturday, instead of participating in the screaming matches and violence, find a local business you support, maybe a Jewish run bakery or African-American run bakery.'

She concluded by concluded by encouraging 'all good, sane Americans to treat these rallies this weekend like the opening of a thoughtful movie with two female leads. Don't show up. Let these morons scream into the empty air.'

1. This is good advice.

These meth ridden idiots want a confrontation.

Let them mill around like the rats that they are, so we can all watch them on TV and laugh at their stupidity.

I like cake!

Although, and nice cheese board with some good beer or wine would be more enjoyable.

Love her.

and not react. I agree with her. We should hold great protests, like the Women's March after the inauguration, but not with or around these losers. The more attention they get the stronger they get. They are like the spoiled child Trump; they revel in any attention, good or bad. The feel empowered when they see themselves on TV, do you think losing a job at Pizza Uno is going to deter anyone?

3. What if they gave a rally and nobody came?

That's what I say too. If a couple of dozen of them showed up and stomped around for a while and virtually everyone else avoided them like the plague, after a releatively short period of time they would feel (and look) ridiculous. And they would just go home.

For every rally permit they obtain, let us get a permit for the following day, and have our own rally. Which would probably make theirs look minuscule in comparison. And if they show up and cause trouble, that too would be contrasted to how the left stayed away the day before.

I've come around to agreeing with you that ignoring the Nazi's is the best strategy.

Is it perfect, no, not at all. However, it is the best strategy.

Deny them what they most want, Attention.

No media stories of their gatherings, no protests, no audience. Let them wander around alone and bored.

That is what many did in the 1930s. Sorry, not with the president and congress taking away voting rights. Not with the dismantling of the EPA and the FDA.

We need to be in the streets, too.

Only in relation to confrontational rallies, where nothing gets decided anyway.

9. What we need to do is to tie in the actions of republicans to racism in general

This can be done at rallies.

Also, there are many militias out there if they do unite and the government doesn't care we could be in real trouble on a new level.

I'm not sure which side jefferson beauregard sessions the third would be on and I really don't want to find out.

Meanwhile, I do want a handful of vegan cake.

Don't show up. Ignore them.

They were all enjoying that cake last night on the SNL anchor desk. Maybe instead of showing up to counter protest, we could all plan get-togethers and support our local bakeries. There could be alternate menu choices for diabetics, celiacs or vegans. It might be fun.

Great idea, Tina!

They pick populated areas - and especially college campuses. We get riled up and show up protesting them. Fights break out, they run away and get back to their keyboards, where they troll the "violent, loony left" by posting racist, sexist, and pro Trump memes. Then repeat the cycle. Tina Fey is right - we can break the cycle. Let them protest to empty rooms!

Every city should just hold a big beautiful pot luck maybe with a local band in a park far away from the protesters.

Maybe diverse speakers... take donations for organizations that work to end racism.
