Real question we need to ask What is Bannon's firing Distracting from?

That meeting happened at Camp David today. No one is talking about that. No one is talking any more about how unusual that meeting was or Pence cutting his trip short to be there.

a) The Joint Chiefs, the VP, the Chief of Staff were actually ready to invoke the 25th and Bannon getting fired might have placated them for a while

b) They are still talking to DJT about resigning, and Bannon getting fired isn't stopping that

c) they really are going to outsource the Afghan war to Blackwater (ok, whoever they are now) for $10B a year, and the military wants nothing to do with overseeing it so they are giving it to Pence to manage from inside the West Wing... Pence/Prince... what a team!

for Mueller... in fact, they might keep Pence out of the country for the duration of the Trump Presidency...
