Is it possible that through the investigation there were moles discovered inside the department and that this guy was moved to HR to go through records and discover what created the situation. A demotion just does not make sense to me.

(21,506 posts)Been bugging me for a while now. A very strange move unless they found something in the FBI and he has moved to address it.

(9,291 posts)Inside counter intelligence, that's where Russia would have wanted them. Not to remove him from the FBI, but keeping him inside but under their eye. Wouldn't want to be that guy.
Hope Rachel can find out. Maybe, I watched too much of the tv show The Americans, but maybe not.

(21,506 posts)I mean what if it is not a demotion but part of a cleanup inside the FBI?

(13,903 posts)What if they found collusion inside the FBI and this guy whose specialty is counterintelligence was moved to HR to go through all the records and try to find out how the people got in or how they were connected.
