was a joy and a privilege. He ran (he was a real athlete) up and down the long lines of marchers for civil rights and against war to cheer us on. He deserves a statue and our forever thanks for the stands he took and for his life.

I loved watching him being interviewed on YouTube.
I liked hearing his perspective on different issues.

in the day that I applauded as courageous and spoke truth to power.....and he did receive a rough time for doing so.

He was an amazing man, who put his life on the line constantly in the 1960s. In the '70s, when it wasn't a popular "cause," Dick championed the Rubin "Hurricane" Carter case. In more recent years, he served as an honored Elder, passing on the wisdom of the ages. I loved Dick Gregory. Still do.
