18. I thought of you and Jamaica when I heard he passed

One of the most surrealistic things I did in Jamaica was visit a movie house in Port Antonio that was showing a Jerry Lewis film. To say Jamaicans loved Jerry Lewis was an understatement. I can't even remember what film was shown, but the young audience (afternoon matinee) was totally animated: gymnastics up and down the aisle, and kids standing in the seats, screaming with laughter. Everyone had a grand time, myself included. Oh, I also caught up on the most current and hip Jamaican patois that entertaining afternoon.
