Their senators voted against Sandy aid, as did many of the GOP Reps in TX.

They are a good example of what is wrong with this country.

However, they are Americans and deserve our support. Don't pray for them, donate to local charities...

Will republicans be consistent and fair?

Or will they be typical republican hypocrite a-holes?

3. As a proud member of the Democratic Party

I am sure that we will put country over party. The GOP establishment voted against not only Sandy aid but Pence and Flake and Poe also tried to use Katrina aid as a backdrop to cut Medicare.

I am proud of a party that won't play games with the lives of average Americans caught in a storm, no matter how much it disagrees with their political ideology.

However the GOP politicians who did play games with the lives of average Americans should indeed have their hypocrisy writ large to shame them from engaging in this despicable behavior again.
