President Donald Trump’s decision to lift restrictions on giving police departments access to excess military equipment was given an enthusiastic endorsement on Fox News Monday.

Via Media Matters, Fox anchor Jillian Mele said that Trump’s decision to give police departments access to grenade launchers and armored vehicles was a “major backup for our police officers on the front lines of those protests,” referring to the violent clashes between Trump supporters and Antifa activists that erupted over the weekend in Berkeley, California.

Protesters and counter-protesters beating each other up... and the cops looked the other way.

One Neo-Nazi shot his gun into the ground to scare counter-protesters... and the cops didn't even flinch.

And after the protest? The cops didn't even bother investigating who beat up whom. It took crowdsourcing to identify the perpetrators and public outcry to get the cops to do ANYTHING.
