The only difference between a Trump and a sociopath like John Gotti is the latter wasn't born into an affluent family and was able to rock a Brioni suit better.
I had to get that off my chest.
Make it a great day.

(99,710 posts)I am sure Trump has rubbed elbows with mobsters. He did use mob muscle to break up strikes, bought quickcrete from mob tied cement companies, and did land deals in Atlantic City with associates of Nicky Scarfo .

(4,533 posts)Was the liberal Keith Olberman? I forget, someone who lived in a Trump building. They both think Trump is the worst in almost every way, as obviously he is, but in person, one to one, they say he actually expresses interest in you and listens to what you say. I figure he was probing for angles to pitch Trump unit sales some day. But it's possible he is only 99% rotten. Sort of like Hitler liking dogs.

(11,175 posts)Consider Arizona. Jeff Flake, who'll be up for re-election, is appalled at Trump some of the time. (He voted to repeal the ACA, but still, he does draw the line somewhere.) His criticisms of Trump have helped fuel right-wing primary challenges to him. The effect of Trump might be to nominate a Sharron Angle type, who, like Angle, will lose to the Democrat; failing that, the effect will be to drain Flake's money and weaken him for November. But if Flake had been a completely loyal Trumpbot, that would have hurt him with a lot of voters in the general, even in a state Trump carried.
That's just one example. Add the general air of dysfunction and incompetence that Trump is causing to be associated with the GOP.
And there I stop. I can't think of any other redeeming features.
