Remember We Are Seeing What Sea Rise Would Look Like Down The Road.

These communities are low enough that sea rise could overtake them before 2100. What we see will BE the new water level permanently. And Harvey is probably the new normal.

We must also realize how many storms with mega rains crossed the nation all summer long. Add to that all the wildfires where it was dry. We are seeing extremes never really seen before. Of course the media NEVER says a peep that we are IN global warming effects.

if the jackasses in congress recognize that we need to do something to maintain our low-elevation coastal land and are willing to pony up for the tools to do something about it.

or we can just have super-destructive floods like this all the time. our choice. democracy.

We are in Centralia WA, and it rained almost every day all of June, and since then ...nada..zip..zilch.. I want the rain back so much ..

It's not all that hot, but it's sad to have lost our birds & critters (who probably moved nearer the river this summer), and we have had several days with smoke warnings from the Canadian and or Oregon fires..
