"Mueller's playing three-dimensional chess & Trump is playing four-dimensional Hungry Hungry Hippo"

Trump pardons Arpaio and Mueller hits — it’s like they’re paying chess,” said BBC anchor Katty Kay, “and it’s check again. Mueller hits back, okay, we’ll go to the state level and this is where you can’t pardon them. The way that Mueller is handling this is strategically brilliant. He’s keeping the investigation going but he’s giving signals to Trump he’s not going to be messed with.”

Historian Jon Meacham, executive editor at Random House and contributing editor for Time, said Trump was vastly outmatched against Mueller.

“I think Mueller is playing chess and Trump is playing Donkey Kong,” Meacham said.

“Mueller’s playing three-dimensional chess and Trump is playing four-dimensional Hungry Hungry Hippo,” Scarborough said.

intellectually as Mueller (and his outstanding team of lawyers). I've suspected, for a long time already, that Schneiderman would figure strongly into this - he was investigating donnie long before he came down that escalator and inflicted himself on the country.

Statement By A.G. Schneiderman On $25 Million Settlement Agreement Reached In Trump University Case

https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/statement-ag-schneiderman-25-million-settlement-agreement-reached-trump-university

NEW YORK – Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued the following statement on the $25 million settlement agreement reached in Trump University case:

In 2013, my office sued Donald Trump for swindling thousands of innocent Americans out of millions of dollars through a scheme known as Trump University. Donald Trump fought us every step of the way, filing baseless charges and fruitless appeals and refusing to settle for even modest amounts of compensation for the victims of his phony university. Today, that all changes. Today's $25 million settlement agreement is a stunning reversal by Donald Trump and a major victory for the over 6,000 victims of his fraudulent university.

I am pleased that under the terms of this settlement, every victim will receive restitution and that Donald Trump will pay up to $1 million in penalties to the State of New York for violating state education laws. The victims of Trump University have waited years for today's result and I am pleased that their patience--and persistence--will be rewarded by this $25 million settlement.

where the money laundering comes into play. So glad Schneiderman is working on this.

completely outmatched. Really smart, experienced people won't work for him, so his advisers are completely outmatched also. For him, these days must feel like an unending series of sucker punches coming out of nowhere.

And now we have good reason to believe that his long ambition to run for the presidency may never have been more then a super-ambitious version of what has become standard Republican fare -- phony primary candidacies for the purpose of making money. He would have proved his superiority by making far more than others ever aspired to. Surprise!
