Romney features CBS' Bob Schieffer in anti-Obama ad without permission

Face the Nation moderator Bob Schieffer is miffed about the new Mitt Romney campaign ad, "Hope and Change."

The CBS journalist and news anchor played the commercial on Sunday night's show, pointing out that Romney's campaign used footage of him to attack President Obama.

After the ad was played for viewers, Schieffer stated that he has "no connection to the Romney campaign" and the footage was added without permission.

The "Hope and Change" ad opens with CBS' Bob Schieffer saying, "When the President was elected, he talked about hope and change. Whatever happened to hope and change? Now, it seems he is just coming right out of the box with these old-fashioned negative ads."

________
Anyone know if the Rmoney campaign could be sued for unauthorized use? The article indicates that this has happened to others in the media, and that the networks issued complaints to the campaigns, but no mention of lawsuits.

and Viacom will do nothing other than maybe write up a sternly worded letter. Schieffer's faux outrage is just silly.
