“In April, the state,looking for new ways to raise revenue, doubled fees for EMT certification from $75 to $150 per person.Certification must be renewed every two years. Rates for certifying an ambulance equipped for basic life supportdoubled from $200 to $400. That certification must renewed every two years. For an ambulance that offersadvanced life support, the fee climbed from $300 to $600, and that certification must be renewed each year.
