Source: New York Daily News
This bros got issues.
A federal judge has signed an order for a psychiatric exam for convicted Pharma Bro Martin Shkreli, just days after yanking his $5 million bail, court records show.
Brooklyn Federal Judge Kiyo Matsumoto signed off on the test for the 34-year-old on Tuesday, according to court records.
The reason for the exam and who requested it remains a mystery, as the motion is sealed and not available to the public.
Matsumoto ordered Shkreli held without bail on Sept. 13, after he posted a screed on Facebook offering a $5,000 bounty for a strand of Hillary Clintons hair.
He insisted the Facebook post was a joke, and wrote a letter apologizing to the court, but the judge wasnt swayed.
Shkreli who hiked the price of an AIDS drug from $13.50 to $750 a pill when he ran Turing Pharmaceuticals was convicted in August of securities fraud and a related conspiracy count.

(4,483 posts)1. He does have issues
I just hope that any mental health findings don't interfere with his receiving *some* kind of restraint on his behavior, whether it's jail time or massive fines. In his case, his words and actions--whether fueled by mental illness or not--have been so egregious that we need to demonstrate they are not acceptable in our country, not necessarily as punishment but as natural consequences of behaving outside the norms of civil society.

Because there's a certain *someone* who I think could also benefit from a psychiatric exam.

There is a whole list of people who live and work in a rather large house in downtown DC.
