"If someone has enough money to live well & sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion

how can God's love be in that person?"

John 3:17

Next time a Republican attempts to tell you that they and their Greedy Old Party are Christians, next time they pretend to care so much about following the Bible...keep this handy list and help educate them.

(To the many non Christians out there-- I have witnessed more Christian like behavior from non believers and atheists than I ever witnessed in the church. In the Catholic church, very few even read the Bible, it is rarely read in Church....they have no idea what their own religion actually says so feel free to educate them)

John 3:17 If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion--how can God's love be in that person?

Deuteronomy 15 If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.

Proverbs 14:31 He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.

Proverbs 21:13 If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.

Matthew 5:42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

Exodus 22:25 If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest.

James 2:16 If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?

Leviticus 25:35 'If one of your countrymen becomes poor and is unable to support himself among you, help him as you would an alien or a temporary resident, so he can continue to live among you.

Deuteronomy 24:14 Do not take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother Israelite or an alien living in one of your towns.

John 4:20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

Deuteronomy 15:11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

Proverbs 19:17 He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.

Isaiah 58:10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

I can go on, as the Bible certainly does, but the message is clear.

We need to demand an answer from these so called Christians for their ruthless behavior toward the 'least' among us.

Please pass these quotes on, post them on facebook(maybe Mitt Romney's page?)
let's get this to the Mitt Romney campaign...I would really like an explanation from the man who wants to be in the driver's seat of our nation....

They want this to be a Christian nation with all their religious babble, well bring it on, we would all be better off. (BTW someone ought to tell them Jesus said absolutely nothing about abortion or gay marriage or gay people at all)

You do know what they say though?

At least what my mother does:

I give to charities, but I don't want mandated giving.

Charities are inefficient and not large enough to provide some of the services needed to make a difference. Charities also rely on government funding to remain solvent.

Thing is, they are stuck in that mode.
