5. I've had to pretty much quit toking for health reasons

but yesterday afternoon I gave in and took a couple hits off a bowl and Yep you are right it kicked my ass. I was paranoid and just plain and simply fucked up until I went to bed about 9 pm.
I told my wife this morning that I ain't going to be doing that again. She just smiled and rolled her eyes, knowing full well I'll try it again. Hell after 42 years of toking its hard to just give up for good.

7. Just a note about lung and throat concerns with mj.

I didn't start smoking till late in life for headaches, it was a miracle. But 6 months after starting I nearly had to quit because I was hacking way more than usual (I'm also a smoker) and my throat was really hurting. I thought, mmj smoking must be doing me in. However, I"m very analytical so I did just that, analyzed. It wasn't the mj, it was the butane lighter that one sucks immense amounts of when lighting a bong/pipe vs lighting a cig. First I switched to matches, and that helped, light toothpicks with my lighter and use them to light the pipe. Never a problem

Anyway, don't know if that's your "health reason," but if it is, and for anyone else, note the difference between lighting a pipe where you're lighting long, inhaling deeply, and taking that butane residue with the mmj smoke, and perhaps reconsider how you light your pipes n bongs.

I've often wondered about the fumes off the butane lighters. next time I'll take some kitchen matches and let them burn a bit before I toke up and see if that helps. Oh I bout forgot my problem yesterday was over indulgence. Just from a couple hits too.

But need the mmj to waylay cluster headaches, have an appetite (this is a newish problem brought on by nerves about spending money I don't have I think), and combat insomnia. After years of multiple pills for similar, and more for side effects, I now haven't taken more than a couple OTC advils in decades.

For 40g of mediocre weed I would be spending at least 10 times that. For weed that would actually be worth smoking, it would be 20 to 50 times that for 40g.

Have you noticed this seems less "addicting" than ready mades? I used to smoke ready mades, and going 2-3 hours without was noticeable. With these, I've gone all day and not really noticed many times over the past two decades when I switched.

taking it literally in terms of grams and ounces and what not. You have your evidence, I won't say what mine is, but I do know that if I smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, that's at least $250 a month. If i was so inclined to do so (lol), I could spend less than that per month on mj.
