"SNIP............
While Trump was tweeting and obsessing over the NFL, he didnt receive a briefing on Puerto Rico from anyone involved in disaster relief for four days.
The Washington Post lays out the timeline, As Hurricane Maria made landfall on Wednesday, Sept. 20, there was a frenzy of activity publicly and privately. The next day, President Trump called local officials on the island, issued an emergency declaration and pledged that all federal resources would be directed to help. But then for four days after that as storm-ravaged Puerto Rico struggled for food and water amid the darkness of power outages Trump and his top aides effectively went dark themselves. Trump jetted to New Jersey that Thursday night to spend a long weekend at his private golf club there, save for a quick trip to Alabama for a political rally. Neither Trump nor any of his senior White House aides said a word publicly about the unfolding crisis.
In typical Trump administration fashion, Sarah Huckabee Sanders called the story false:

(10,495 posts)Where are the Republican leaders? They should be trying to pressure this very sick man into action and using other means at their disposal to get things done. Nothing but crickets from them. The believe their tax cuts to their Donors are the most important thing by far. More important than life itself (as long as it is other people's lives)!
They MUST be made to pay in 2018 and 2020!!!

(51,593 posts)There are ads and posts by Russian bots who are STILL continuing their mission to intensify racial tensions in the US and the fake prez administration has the same goal so they could even actively be in cahoots. Nothing has been done by the administration to stop Putin as well as the fact that Facebook and Twitter are definitely not complying with the requests from the Congressional investigations. Also, I read on DU two days ago 45 hasn't started the Congressional sanctions on Russia yet for some reason. I do not understand the details but even though he reluctantly signed the sanctions, they aren't enacted yet.
We are still being controlled by Putin with 45's help. Now victims in Puerto Rico will suffer due to their political conspiring to derail democracies.
