I know she may not be able to see it, but I want to send good vibes in support of her courageous and tireless work on behalf of her people. We are with you, Mayor. Don't let Trump or any one else silence you.

(I've also written my Senator and sent a donation to Red Cross. It's awful to feel so helpless especially when we KNOW the military and others can do more to help but we can't force the president to order them into action and cut bureaucracy.)

She's sleeping on a cot a shelter because her house was destroyed in the hurricane. Yet she has been working tirelessly to help others, at times wading through contaminated water with a bullhorn trying to find people. She's been repeatedly attacked by the potus because instead of lauding him, she publically begged for help. She is a hero.
