Life in WH is like being in a Venezuelan jail ??

I have read in a French press article, the Trumps compared WH to a Venezuelan jail.

Did they really say that ?

I missed the new in English.

Is it true? So, kneeling is direspectul to the entire nation, the soldiers and the flag.

But having massive disdain for the most symbolic house in the country and for the men who lived there once, took part in building the country and made it seen as the Promised Land, is acceptable ??

If they really did say that, they just spitted to the face of their fellow citizens.

Have they hit the bottom or will they go down even more ?

And former "model" shouldn't be allowed at all in WH when she sues a newspaper because she "missed" a chance to make money AS First Lady...

When it comes to "make money AS First Lady", WH is not that dumb...

Kleptocracy in all its splendour...

First Lady ? She dragged the title position through the mud...

to take a walk outside. And there's a really funny clip of a series Jerry Seinfeld did about cars and coffee where he goes to the White House with a very snazzy car and President Obama drives it around the grounds. Jerry eggs him on to go outside the gate and Obama just laughs (a bit ruefully) and says he can't.
"Bordello style" : perfect. No gold toilets there, oh dear, oh dear!

WH and being president (as some seem to be claiming). Michelle Obama was specifically referring to the pressure of fame that attends being First Lady or president. Trump LOVES attention. Remember that Melania didn't want to live in the WH and only relented when there was some public backlash. There is a REASON why he said "Venezuelan" prison.

He is obviously complaining about how he is stuck there because people want to see him working in the WH and resent his constant golfing trips and didn't think it was okay for him to live in New York as president. He's also quite clearly complaining, to foreign reporters as well, that the WH is dumpy (you know, "Venezuelan" prison instead of just prison) compared to his incredible sense of style as exhibited in his various appalling properties with his absurd name displayed on everything in case he forgets who he is.

He is a constant embarrassment to this country. If Pres. Obama or Michelle Obama had made that specific remark to some foreign journalists we'd have never heard the end of how they betrayed the country.

I agree it heavy to carry at a time or another but there is "L'art et la manière" to say it.

No one asked them to love the WH. They are asked to respect their fellow citizens, their country and its History. WH is highly symbolic and as such, must be respected.

as other than being imprisoned, and I can easily imagine that Melania wasn't "all in" on Donald running for the office.

Why a Venezuelan prison? Does she have a secret past experience? Or a friend who had the experience?

...and you have to leave in such house as is WH which involves a protocole (generaly strict), you probably feel locked in at a time or another. Nothing wrong with that.

Having to be constantly on the alert is arduous. The fonction demands it.

Michelle Obama expressed it in an diplomatic and classy way.

The Trumps did say it as the louts they are.
