REQUESTED REPOST: We need some financial help with medical expenses

A few people have told me I should repost this with updated information for some more visibility, if this is a no-no, just tell me and I'll get rid of it.

I've been 9 months recovering from a foot infection, toe imputation, skin grafts and wound care, the uncovered medical bills and co-pays have finally started to overwhelm us. My wife set up a gofundme paqe and, well I hope some will find a few bucks to spare. The wound had pretty michclosed up but in the past couple week has started to 'regress' and open up again. I have another skin graft scheduled for Monday this one totally uncovered by any insurance.

The GoFundMe is here

https://www.gofundme.com/richardmedbills

and our great thanks to those that have already contributed, you show what being a Democrat really means, helping others in a time of need. (Fact, altho my wife has shared this all over her Facebook, Google+, Twitter... the ONLY donations we have received have come from DU. You make me very proud people. Rest assured when we get back on (both) feet, we will be paying this forward

I'll answer any questions here and for the benefit of those before that said they wanted 'verification' or just wondered how bad it was, if you really want to see the foot 'unwrapped' these links till bring up pictures of my foot, links vs just embedding them here (so the squeamish won't be freaked out), warning some of these are really Roger Corman / John Carpenter / Clive Barker graphic.. don't click if you don't want to see....

Two weeks after Surgery (the most graphic) http://prntscr.com/gwpr3w
4 Weeks after Surgery (pre graft) http://prntscr.com/gwpsfr
The graft goes on (8 weeks after surgery) http://prntscr.com/gwpsqb (ues it's stapled in)
Two weeks after graft, looking better http://prntscr.com/gwpt3o
Two more weeks (closing up nicely) http://prntscr.com/gwpt8q
Another Two weeks, tissue bed fully formed, closing up more http://prntscr.com/gwpt8q
This was 3 weeks ago, it's almost completely closed http://prntscr.com/gwptpu
and this was past Monday, you can see how much bigger and raw it's gotten http://prntscr.com/gwpu0a

Thank you all, those that have send sometning along even if it's just good vibes and wishes, If you can help, my gratitude doubles and doubles. It's really not my nature to have to go this route, but 3 weeks in a surgical hospital then another 2 1/2 months in the wound care specialty hospital.. the insurance helped (the Surgical hospital insurance billed was over $200,000 and quite honestly I'm afraid to look at the total for the second, the leftovers of uncovered, deductibles and co-pays is scary enough....) but nothing covers everything..

Thank you all, you're the people that gives me hope for this country surviving the times we're in

FOR THOSE THAT WISH TO DONATE ANONYMOUSLY The instructions are kinda buried, here's the instructions

https://support.gofundme.com/hc/en-us/articles/203687114-How-do-I-make-my-donation-anonymous-

Also if you want to help out in other ways, we're starting to liquidate my collection of 1/18 diecast and some other collectibles and computer stuff on eBay, search for the seller 'puddinkat' for some deals

1. I tried to kick in a few dollars, but I don't see a way to do so without having my full name

appear on the page, which is something I am not comfortable with. When I tried to use "Anonymous" instead of my name, team page demanded my full name.

(Does anyone here know how to prevent one's name from appearing along with one's donation?)

Meanwhile, I will K&R for visibility.

2. As far as I know. you put in your real name for security (money and all that)

But you can set it so that the donation is "Anonymous" (a few of them on the donation list now)

3. I looked for a button to click to make the donation anonymous but didn't see one.

small to display the entire page. I will check the page on my desktop when I get home to see if I can see an anonymous option on the bigger screen.

the donation amount.

It does not show at all on my tablet--but my tablet is what I use about 95% of the time. I have tried to donate to several GoFundMe drives on DU and given up because I didn't want my name to show on the page.

Now that I know the problem is the 7" tablet, I can help other DUers more in the future.

8. Couple things you might try in the future

- see if switching from 'desktop' to 'mobile' verion of the page helps (most android browsers have that option)

- see if the old pinch/zoom will show more screen

- probably a dumb statement but, see if the page will scroll?

Thanks again, hope this will help others too!
