Trump's claim that he's "allowing" the release of the JFK files is BS. The release was scheduled

long ago.

He might have been able to block their release "on the grounds that making the material public would harm intelligence, law enforcement, military operations or foreign relations."

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2017/10/21/trump-allow-release-thousands-jfk-files-national-archives/787056001/

But given the RWNJ myth being peddled to the deplorables about the dangers posed by the so-called Deep State, he really couldn't have kept the files secret without his own base screaming that he was being controlled by the Deep State.

So he's trying, as always, to take credit for something he actually has little or nothing to do with.

Unless they were ordered not to be.

So he actually is ordering their release. Seems like you're splitting hairs.

for this "expose'."

And there's already lots of talk from deplorables all over social media about how the Deep State won't be happy about the release of the files.

Trump's base would definitely react negatively if he made any last-minute decision to block the release.

So I don't think I'm splitting hairs to point out he's trying to take credit for something that would have happened anyway, and that it would be too politically risky for him to block.

Trump doesn't even have to do or say something outrageous.

which supposedly doesn't want the files released and might try to assassinate him.

Trump the great hero, for letting this release proceed on schedule...

Is this the same Roger Stone who worked for Dole's '96 campaign and was kicked to the curb for being in a swinging couples sex ring?
